The Montaigne Project came about when I was intensively engaged in cybernetics, constructivism and sythem theory in the context of improvised music and performance.
Rather by chance I came across a biography of Montaigne and the “essays”. The reference to communicative processes within music practice was so striking for me that I made an attempt to develop essayistic music from it. Recorded ive at Ballhaus Naunynstrasse, Berlin
