errorkoerper environment installation

the errorkoerper environment installation:

material – situation – communication – self-organisation

The Errorkoerper Environment consists of nine objects
( cross section dimension : 170 cm, height : 150 cm) made out of heavy grey cotton.
Inside each of these objects a sounding object is located: sets of strings,
e-bows, noise generators, metal, steel vessels, marimbas …
The sounding objects get their electricity supply from solar cells placed inside the room.
These solar modules are activated / deactivated from spots so they can be controlled by the public via light – mixing desk.
Is a spot activated it starts the coupled sound object, which is again connected by microphone to a computer which alters the parameters pitch, amplitude, direction, duration, speed, feedback…
it quasi reacts on an action and provoces a new reaction. Under optimal conditions, the energy supply is naturally provided by the solar energy ensured.
The environment works as a “non-trivial machine” (A.Turing) that changes its internal state constantly, endlessly.

The whole setup represents an initiation of communication.
The observer isn’t part of a passive audience, but an inter – actor
who implements a process – an “Autopoiesis” ( H. Manturana)
a starting with self – reference: The performance situation gets in motion because it is in permanent reflection and self – organisation, permanently in -forms itself creating a system. Information from difference (based on G. Bateson: “a difference that makes a difference”)
” An information is an information if it is not only an existing difference, but when hereupon a system changes its state of condition.”( N. Luhmann)
